Our beloved founder, Rusty O’Brien, passed away as a result of a tragic accident in January of 2025. Rusty was not only an exceptional attorney but also a devoted husband, father, and cherished friend. His unwavering dedication, leadership, and compassion deeply touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Rusty assembled a talented and dedicated team here at the firm, and we are united in continuing the work he was so passionate about by providing the highest level of support and service to our clients.

Attorney Sean C. Marcum is the Managing Partner of the O’Brien Law Group, a Full-Service immigration law firm in Louisville, Kentucky. Over the past 15 years, he has practiced in various areas of law, representing hundreds of individuals and families throughout Central Kentucky. He is known for his hard work, honesty, and dedication to his clients.

Sean speaks Spanish fluently. He served a two-year mission in Argentina and has dedicated his life to serving the Spanish-speaking community ever since. He dedicates his time to volunteering at Immigration Clinics in the local Louisville, Kentucky area. He looks forward to working on your case and doing all he can to help you.

Jose S. Herrera is an associate attorney at O’Brien Law Group, where he is dedicated to providing legal counsel in Immigration Law. With a genuine passion for serving his community, Jose strives to make complex legal processes more accessible and understandable for his clients, guiding them with care through every step of their journey.

Jose earned his law degree from the J. David Rosenberg College of Law. After successfully passing the bar exam, he joined O’Brien Law Group, where he focuses on assisting clients through removal proceedings and other immigration matters. His client-centered approach emphasizes transparency, affordability, and the highest standards of representation.

Outside of his legal practice, Jose enjoys hiking, playing soccer, and tennis, activities that help him maintain a balanced and active lifestyle.
